Benches added to our pavilion

This is Alexander! He is a scout from Troop #29 and is 15 years old. Today he installed new benches around the playground and pavilion area at the Greenhouse Village neighborhood. Alex was completing this project to receive his Citizenship for Community merit badge. He choose Habitat because he was excited to build with homeowners and to help with housing in our area. When he is 16 he can join other volunteers on the build site.

Alex, his father, Vera; a Habitat homeowner and Vera's sister worked to assemble, dig holes and cement the new benches into place. Through this project, Alex was able "to learn new skills and connect with a community agency."

We are so grateful that Alex choose Habitat for his project and grateful for his hard work and skills. The benches will be a wonderful addition to our community pavilion. Thanks again Alex!
